OVERVIEW
METCORE International Pte Ltd was founded in 2013 and is a leading marine solutions provider based in Singapore. We are offering independent and trusted technical expertise for comprehensive fuel measurement solutions for bunkering application.
Our expertise lies in a holistic approach for the integration and evaluation of mass flow metering system (MFM system) on board bunker tankers. We have covered a large number of bunker tankers in Singapore to fulfill the requirements reflected in the Singapore Standard (SS) 648:2019, since our company was established.
Over the years, we have expanded globally. Meter verification approach, metering data analysis program and oil loss management were also added as part of our services, accumulating vast experience and capability from evaluation of MFM systems worldwide for custody transfer measurement. Our objective is primarily to provide the stakeholders peace of mind for entrusting us with the MFM system for bunkering application.
In Singapore, Metcore is proud to be appointed as an Authorised Verifier (AV) by the Weights & Measures Office (WMO). The AV appointment enable us to carry out mass flow meter verification using the acquired Coriolis master mass flow meter, and thereafter on behalf of WMO, secured the mass flow meter for custody transfer measurement of bunker fuel.
Our capability and expertise have also transformed Metcore into an established certification body, carrying out independent and conformity assessment of MFM system. Accredited by Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) to ISO/IEC 17065, we had since expanded our flow metering system certification services outside Singapore, reaching out to major ports around the world including Europe and East Asia.

In my opinion, the mass flow master meter has advantages over the piston prover due to its smaller dimension. Therefore, it is easier to move between objects of verification. The verification process using MFM master meters is also faster. The units are cheaper to acquire compared to piston provers. This technology offers the possibility to compensate for viscosity effect. At the same time, using an MFM master meter allows proving under real operating conditions with the actual oil product. Coriolis MFM also encounter minimal wear and tear due to the lack of mechanical moving parts.
